Plum

t'was sunday.
having gone to sleep after a lunch that could have beached a whale,
I came to and found that the sun had raised its tent and stolen away.

oh perish !! if anything were to fill the soul with a dark damp cold,
it is but wasted sunlight. ( For whom does the Sun shine, if not for me ...? )
The situation called for a remedy mot juste - in other words,
a P.G Wodehouse book ( pronounced Woodhouse, not Woadhouse ).
If anything can bring the cheery glow and crackle of a warm fireplace
to a the cold damp dark cell that passes for the soul,
it is a Wodehouse book, trust me.

my grandma's bro is a great fan of woodhouse. hez seen the world, but he likes nuthin more than to ensconce himself in his fave rockin' chair (at trivandrum) n' while away time readin his wodehouse books again n again.. they're old as parchment now. my sis used to love it too. but i never got down to readin much.. however, i shall follow in hima's footsteps n' start. i read pickwick papers.? what ho, jeeves?!

kuts : not surprised. that's how i'd want to end up too, with a rocking chair and books, iff my eyesight keeps up and my grandchildren don't throw me out on the street ;)
Pickwik papers comes close.3 Men in a boat is even funnier.
to begin with, pick up any Jeeves tale.
For connoiseurs, i suggest "Louder and Funnier" .
I'll FW the e-books as soon as Hima comes thru.
