It's called a changeover

The movie goes on and nobody in the audience has any idea

It's only after you've lost everything, that you're free to do anything

An entire generation pumping gas, waiting tables: slaves with white collars. Advertising has us chasing car and clothes, working jobs we hate so we can buy sh!# we don't need. We're the middle children of history, man--no purpose or place. We have no great war. No great depression. Our great war's a spiritual war. Our great depression is our lives. We've all been raised on television to believe that one day we'd all be millionaires and movie gods and rock stars . . . but we won't. We're slowly learning that fact and we're very, very pissed off.

Tyler's words coming out of my mouth. And, I used to be such a nice guy.

Where is my mind .... ?

Hey thanks for dropping by.

"slaves with white collars" liked the turn of phrase.

As for the phrase, we should have anticipated the same all along. The problem/ solution is that not everybody is very pissed off.
