can't
seem to think of anything to say. Seem to have run out of .... wait, was it words ? nope
the speaking apparatus works excellently - it must be the other one - the one that supplies
the words that's not working. btw
'The meaning of liff' is a dictionary by Douglas Adams and can be found online. It consists of words that you always wanted and never had.
The 'Congo' book is a whole lot better than the movie.
William Gibson introduced the word 'cyberspace' and wrote his first few tales of hackers and cyber-punks on a typewriter - he hadn't, in all probability, seen
a computer at that time.
Ta then, off to search for a missing part

"Congo" is the best!
Also try "Travels" - by the selfsame person.
No !! ' The Lost World' happens to be the best, so there :P
... btw, d'you see a pattern - cool high tech sutff-jungle/desert/wilderness-things which will DEFINITELY kill you - smart chaps/gals escape in a rather neat way...
Totally. But the broader theme behind Crichton books is that they deal with actual socio-scientific issues of the day. Follow the trail: The Terminal Man... Andromeda Strain... Congo... The Rising Sun... Jurassic Park (which, btw, is even better than The Lost World... so there!)... Even Disclosure deals with a contempory social issue, though lacking in the researched scientific background! BTW, The Terminal Man - written about 20 years before an incident like this actually took place. And Travels and The Great Train Robbery - great books too. Dr. Crichton rocks!
that he does
I liked Sphere the best. I hated Timeline. Travels had the coolest opening lines in any book I've read, but kinda became floosy with all the auras and stuff. Btw, YB, where did you find the meaning of liff link? And I think I know whats the name of the part you are missing - its called the crankshaft.
umm , methinks THAT is something I've got for sure - had it since kindergarten .. :D
liff ? google . an illustrious friend told me ...
Yippee! Am mentioned here!!! No, DON'T deny it!!
yep, lost world is the best. n' the fact that the original was available for rs.30 doesn't detract from it.
