as a child

I used to haunt our public library for this book, and
made sure I got my hands on it every summer holiday .
Oddly enough, the chapter I like best in the book I did
not even read, probably, the first five summers I got
the book. I only got down to it when I had polished off
all other chapters and made them lose their novelty.
And yes, I did get to it before I'd heard about Pink
Floyd.
