fade

... as a weakness steals over the land, taking in its fold the gold of the setting sun and turning it liquid, rendering invisible all but the dark of the trees and hills and dulling the sparkle of the water taking the wrinkles out of it, as the silence rings its bells and the leaves murmur and nod off, and the wind rustles as it exits the scene, twilight rears its head, serene and void, and promises to end all that her sister, the dawn, has wrought.and one leaf stirs, and tries to fight the sleep, for how long it knows not,but stay awake it must, for it wants to catch a dream in play ...
