the word 'personal blind spot' lies right at the middle of a spectrum, when describing a person. let's see what's on either side. 

on the left, a little way off, we have 'prejudices', and further off, 'bigotry'

on the right is 'idiosyncrasies' and further right 'winning intuition'

but blind spots are right in the middle, and neutral at that.
